Centenary College Maas-Rowe was selected to provide four Computer Controlled Tower Clock Drives as part of the restoration of this historic tower. Maas-Rowe replaced the badly deteriorated wooded face using aluminum finished with a 30-year Kynar-based coating. The Numerals were flat cut and affixed to theFace so as to stand out in relief. They coated with an Exotic XL Gold Metallic Kynar finish. The Clocks reset automatically after power outages and for Daylight Saving Time changes. A Maas-Rowe Digital Chronobell sounds the Westminster Chimes in perfect harmony with the hands which are controlled by the same Master Clock. The Maas-Rowe carillon was originally installed more than Thirty Years ago using Maas-Rowe "miniature bells" which are then amplified through speakers in the cupola. Those "miniature
bells" are still in use, but the control system was upgraded
by Maas-Rowe to digital and the old tube amplifiers were replaced
with solid state units.
