CLOCK DRIVES
Three custom built clocks were built by Maas-Rowe for this tower that was too thin to allow access behind the clock faces so special front-mount drives were designed.
The 6 ft. square Clock Faces were fabricated from 3/16" thick aluminum plate.
The Numerals were flat cut from 1/4" Aluminum and attached to the face. The Face, Numerals, and Hands were finished with 30-year rated Kynar based coatings.
The Drives and Hands can be removed from the outside of the face by means of a circular plate about 13" Dia. that is gasketed and held with stainless steel bolts.
The Clocks are controlled by Maas-Rowe Master Clock which synchronizes to the time signals received from GPS satellites.
The Clocks reset automatically after power outages and for Daylight Saving Time changes.
